What a beautiful couple!
I was lucky enough to tag along with Steph from Bubble Rock while she photographed Katy and Mike as they gathered together with their loved ones from all over the globe to celebrate their marriage.
This was one special day for me.
This styled shoot was pulled together by a team of clever and talented women. The concept was created by Yvana of Locks and Lace, who imaged a ballerina dancing among the fallen autumn leaves.

My friend Kirsten has started her very own collection of hand made clothes, created using vintage and second hand fabrics. We spent the evening singing along to Ariana Grande, and pushing our way past tall grass and thorns to capture Milla against that evening sun.
This collaboration was made even more special by the addition of the soundtrack, written and recorded by Kirsten’s friends, Fleek.
Keep an eye out for what to wear next from [the pretty little label].
This past year, I have had the absolute pleasure of being the content photographer for Ora Magazine, a printed and digital publication dedicated to the health and wellbeing of young New Zealanders.
We are a small team with a big vision!
Here are a few of my favourite projects that allowed me to meet some of the most incredible, passionate and talented human beings, finding a purpose in creating a better world for all those around them.
“A workshop for the dreamers”
Hands down the most amazing day I have lived in a long time. From the time we met, we were showered with insider tips and practical knowledge and infinite inspiration. This was the first styled shoot I had ever done, and I absolutely fell in love.

With the help of our beautiful dancer, Maeve, our goal for this project was to feature practices that promote a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
Andrew and Camilla decided to head down to the Tauranga courthouse with all their closest friends and family living in New Zealand to get hitched! While their parents and many relatives couldn’t attend at short notice, they were surrounded by so many who loved them and supported their union with such excitement. These two couldn’t stop smiling and kissing all day, and it made my job soo easy!
Wishing a huge blessing on these two, and feeling so grateful to have been apart of such an intimate and meaningful day.
Ash is a local music artist here in Tauranga, who creates soulful acoustic melodies like nobody’s business. I reached out to her as I was searching for a bit of inspiration and hoping to collaborate with another artist in the area. We spent the afternoon cracking up over the realities of growing up in a gospel church and bonding over our love for Tash Sultana.
While visiting our dear friends on Great Barrier Island, New Zealand, I was lucky enough to witness the birth of Kimberly and Andrew’s third child. Here is a documented progression of the transition between pregnancy and motherhood, which Kimberly approached with outstanding courage and strength. I was completely blown away with the reality of child birth, and even though Kimber’s home birth was a text book delivery, I am still in shock of what the female body is built to endure and how quickly the pain is erased as the new born baby is placed in their mother’s arms.
After many years of personally struggling with my own body image, this photo session was extra special for me as it was a celebration of the female shape. Becca wanted some images that she could always look back on and remember what if felt like to be 20, and to appreciate the beautiful skin she lived in.
I have always been a bit of a prude when it comes to nudity, but as a photographer I am coming to love it because you don’t have the extra fuss of coloured fabric and unnatural shapes, just the familiar landscape of the human body. It is slowly changing the way I view my own composition.
Jp and I spent the first two and a half years of our marriage on this little island. When we arrived we were greeted with the sight of our very first home… a small shack the size of a chicken coop, balancing on the banks of the river.
This season was one big learning curve, but we came away with some great friends, new skills and some decent photos to remember them by.
What started out as a beautiful evening, shooting a family session with the Van Velzens, quickly turned into a night to remember as we all got to watch Rohan and Rebecca get engaged!!
Rebecca had booked me to shoot some shots of her and her family while her mom was in town, visiting from Australia. Little did she know, her partner Rohan had planned to steal her thunder, and pop the question when she least expected it. His plan was soo well kept, that he didn’t even tell the photographer! Thankfully, I was lucky enough to have my camera on the right settings just as he dropped to one knee to pop the question! The only issues was that they will always hear my high pitched squeals when they recount their special moment. Scroll through and watch as this shoot transformed from a family portrait shoot into a moment that none of us will ever forget.
Time to crack the champagne! Congrats you two xx
One of those “once in a lifetime” experiences, meaning… I will never do it again, but will always remember that one time i did.
Mostly, the day consisted of vertical spooning with strangers like a can of sardines and getting cooked by the harsh New Zealand sun, thanks to that oh-so inconvenient hole in the ozone. Thankfully, I had JP and Logan there to dance the scorching reality away, as well as Tash Sultana, who literally played every instrument known to man, which made it all worth while. Here are a few shots we were able to snap amidst the chaos!

This girl is golden.
I met Julia while on Great Barrier Island, and she always made me miss my teens. Right before life gets complicated and hormones make you their bitch.
Liz and Kerry have been our life savers more than once! Always our loudest cheerleaders, this couple has spoken so much truth and encouragement into our lives. You can plainly see their hearts and how they love their boys in how they interact as a family. These boys are all rough and tumble, and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. I had a ball chasing these guys up and down the hills of Karaka Bay, and what beautiful memories we now have of that golden evening.
